* Flash Flood Warning for...
Northwestern Pend Oreille County in northeastern Washington...
Northeastern Stevens County in northeastern Washington...
* Until 945 PM PDT.
* At 649 PM PDT, Doppler radar indicated slow moving thunderstorms
producing heavy rain across the warned area. Between 0.5 and 1.25
inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 0.25 to
0.75 inches are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is
ongoing or expected to begin shortly.
HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.
SOURCE...Radar.
IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban
areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as
other poor drainage and low-lying areas.
* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
Colville, Ione, Metaline Falls, Metaline, Little Pend Oreille
Lakes Campground, Tiger, Lost Creek, Noisy Creek Campground, Ruby,
Sullivan Lake Campground, Arden and Orin.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
Flooding is occurring or is imminent. It is important to know where
you are relative to streams, rivers, or creeks which can become
killers in heavy rains. Campers and hikers should avoid streams or
creeks.

EVENING FOR WEST CENTRAL BREWSTER COUNTY...
At 839 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy
rain across the warned area. Between 1.5 and 2.5 inches of rain have
fallen. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly.
HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas,
highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor
drainage and low-lying areas.
Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
Mainly rural areas of West Central Brewster County.
This includes the following streams and drainages...
Cienega Creek, Maravillas Canyon, San Francisco Creek, Indian
Creek, Spring Creek, Negro Creek, Wood Hollow Creek, Pea Colorado
Creek, Pea Blanca Creek and Chalk Draw.
