.DISCUSSION...
Issued at 124 PM CDT Sun Oct 6 2024
Surface high pressure and quiet weather conditions will be the rule
across the area through the upcoming week! A dry cold front over
the area this afternoon will shift south of the Quad State by early
evening. This will allow for much cooler conditions and even less
humidity. Aloft, a troughing pattern will linger over/near the area
keeping northwest flow aloft through mid week. These features
will keep much cooler weather in place. The aforementioned
trough will shift gradually eastward by mid week as ridging
builds across the CONUS for toward the end of the week. That
will lead to only a gradual warming of temperatures late in the
week. No precipitation in the forecast through next weekend!!
Highs will be in the low to mid 70s for most of the week. Lows will
drop in the 40s to around 50 degrees!!!

.AVIATION /18Z TAFS THROUGH 18Z MONDAY/...
Issued at 1156 AM CDT Sun Oct 6 2024
A dry cold front is passing through the area from northwest to
southeast to start the TAF issuance. Winds will shift from the
west to northwest through the evening and then become northerly
Monday morning. Gusts may reach 20kts at times this afternoon.
Fog potential is lower tonight as winds will be a bit stronger
than previous nights and drier air will arrive behind the
front. In general, good flying conditions expected!
