.SYNOPSIS...
A few light showers from the coast to the mountains could linger
near the mountains into the afternoon. Drier and warmer west of
the mountains for Thanksgiving with weak offshore flow. Then dry
with a warming trend into the weekend with high temperatures 5 to
locally 10 degrees above average into early next week.

COUNTIES...
.SHORT TERM (Today through Friday)...
Some light precipitation is possible from the coast to the
mountains into this morning with a few light showers possibly
lingering near the mountains into the afternoon. The chance for
0.01 inch or more of rainfall is only around 20 percent from the
coast to the mountains with isolated amounts to around 0.10 inch,
mainly near the coastal slopes of the mountains. The snow level
will mostly be above 8500 to 9000 feet.
High temperatures today will mostly be a few to around 5 degrees
cooler than Tuesday. There will be dry weather with weak offshore
flow for Thanksgiving with high temperatures for the coast and
valleys a few to around 5 degrees warmer than today with the
deserts a few to around 5 degrees cooler. High temperatures on
Thanksgiving for the valleys and inland coastal areas will be
mostly in the upper 60s to mid 70s with the lower deserts mostly
in the lower to mid 70s. Friday will be a few degrees warmer with
the deserts around average with the coast and valleys a few to
around 5 degrees above average, mostly in the 70s for the valleys
and inland coastal areas.

.LONG TERM (Saturday through Tuesday)...
The warming trend will continue through the weekend followed by
minor day to day differences into the middle of next week. High
temperatures for Sunday will be around 5 degrees above average to
locally 10 degrees above average for portions of the mountains and
inland valleys. High temperatures on Sunday for the coast and
valleys will range from the mid to upper 60s near the coast to the
mid 70s to lower 80s for the valleys with the lower deserts in the
mid 70s to lower 80s.

270945Z....Coast/Valleys/Mountains...Patchy stratus with bases
varying between 1500 and 3000 ft MSL becoming more widespread
through the morning. Isolated SHRA with bases lowering to 700-1000
ft MSL through about 16Z. Low clouds clearing out from north to
south 18-22Z, though SCT clouds with bases at/above 2500 ft MSL may
linger across San Diego County into the afternoon, becoming BKN with
bases again lowering to 1500 ft this evening. Portions of the
coastal mountain slopes will be obscured in clouds/fog through about
20Z. Overall low confidence in CIG heights and duration at the TAF
sites. Otherwise BKN clouds at/above 20,000 ft MSL through this
afternoon.
Desert Mountain Slopes/Deserts...BKN clouds at/above 20,000 ft MSL
through this afternoon. Breezy west winds with gusts 25-40 kt
continuing along the desert slopes and into the deserts through 12Z.
MOD up/downdrafts and areas of LLWS possible over and E of the
mountains.

A 2-3 ft south swell from 190 deg at 17-20 sec will produce elevated
surf of 3-5 with with sets to 6 feet on south facing beaches today
and Thursday. Strong rip currents can be expected. Swell and surf
will begin to slowly lower on Friday.
