.SYNOPSIS...
Not much change for today with high temperatures for Thursday
through Saturday cooling around 5 degrees for inland areas. High
pressure to the east will bring gradual warming for Sunday into
the middle of next week with high temperatures for the middle of
next week a few to around 5 degrees above average. Night and
morning coastal low clouds and fog will spread into the western
valleys late each night.

.DISCUSSION...FOR EXTREME SOUTHWESTERN CALIFORNIA INCLUDING ORANGE...
SAN DIEGO...WESTERN RIVERSIDE AND SOUTHWESTERN SAN BERNARDINO
COUNTIES...

.SHORT TERM (Today through Friday)...
Not much change in high temperatures is expected for today with a
weak low pressure system moving through California bringing
cooling of around 5 degrees for inland areas for Thursday through
Saturday. High temperatures for today will be a few to around 5
degrees below average for the coast and valleys and around 5
degrees above average for the deserts.

This will cool on Friday to 5 to 10 degrees below average for the
coast and valleys and around average for the deserts. High
temperatures on Friday will range from around 70 near the coast to
the mid 80s to lower 90s for the Inland Empire with 104 to 108
for the lower deserts. Night and morning coastal low clouds and
fog will spread into the western valleys late each night.

.LONG TERM (Saturday through Tuesday)...
The cooling will continue into Saturday with Saturday high
temperatures ranging from around 70 near the coast to the 80s for
the Inland Empire with 102 to 106 for the lower deserts. Low
pressure will weaken over California with high pressure to the
east bringing gradual warming for Sunday through Tuesday.

With the warming, Tuesday high temperatures will be a few to
around 5 degrees below average for the coast and valleys and
around average for the deserts. Tuesday high temperatures will
range from the lower to mid 70s near the coast to the upper 80s to
mid 90s for the Inland Empire with 105 to 110 for the lower
deserts. Night and morning coastal low clouds and fog will spread
into the western valleys late each night.

.AVIATION...
130900Z...Coasts/Valleys...Low clouds based at 800-1300ft MSL will
continue to cover the coast and western valleys this morning with
VIS restrictions 2-5 SM possible across higher terrain and within
valleys. Clouds scatter back to the coast 16-18z Wednesday morning,
though moderate confidence in BKN cigs lingering after 19Z VCTY
KSAN. VFR conditions prevail thereafter into the afternoon, with
marine clouds staying mainly offshore. Low clouds with similar bases
will push back ashore by 02-04z Thursday and inland coverage.

Mountains/Deserts...Mostly clear with VFR conditions continuing
through Thursday.

.MARINE...
No hazardous marine conditions are expected through Saturday.

.BEACHES...
Long period (15-16 second) southwesterly (200-220 degree) swell will
bring elevated surf and a high rip current risk through Thursday.
Surf of 3 to 5 feet with local sets 6 to 7 feet, highest along south
facing beaches.

.SKYWARN...
Skywarn activation is not requested. However weather spotters are
encouraged to report significant weather conditions.
