.SYNOPSIS...
Residual showers are expected to end this morning. It will then
be dry with a warming trend through Saturday continuing into
Sunday for the deserts. Early next week will be a few degrees
cooler as high pressure weakens.

.DISCUSSION...FOR EXTREME SOUTHWESTERN CALIFORNIA INCLUDING ORANGE...
SAN DIEGO...WESTERN RIVERSIDE AND SOUTHWESTERN SAN BERNARDINO
COUNTIES...

.SHORT TERM (Today through Friday)...
A low pressure system will continue to move inland through the
Great Basin today. For Friday and Saturday, there will be high
pressure aloft over southern California with a large cutoff low
pressure system centered well off the coast of northern Baja.
Residual showers over the southern California coastal waters
moving into southwestern California are expected to end during
this morning.

High temperatures are expected to warm through Saturday
with the warming continuing into Sunday for the deserts. The
greatest warming is expected on Thursday. With the warming, high
temperatures on Friday will be a few degrees below average to as
much as 4 to 8 degrees below average for the mountains and high
desert. High temperatures on Friday will range from the lower to
mid 70s near the coast to the upper 70s to mid 80s for the Inland
Empire with the mid to upper 80s for the lower deserts.

.LONG TERM (Saturday through Tuesday)...
The warming trend will continue into Saturday and into Sunday for
the deserts with high temperatures on Saturday a few degrees
above average for the coast and valleys and a few degrees below
average for the deserts into the mountains.

For early next week, there is much larger spread in the evolution
of the pattern along the coasts of California and Baja. There
should be at least a few degrees of cooling for Monday and
Tuesday.

150930Z...ISO-SCT -SHRA through about 16Z, with accompanying bases
1500-2500 feet MSL, otherwise bases 3500-6000 feet MSL. Some higher
terrain obscured this morning in BR/FG. Gradual clearing this
morning, by 14Z vcnty KSNA/KONT, by 17Z vcnty KSAN. FEW-SCT clouds
near KSAN tonight into Thursday.

No hazardous marine conditions are expected through Sunday.
