.SYNOPSIS...
High temperatures for today will be as much as 15 degrees below
average for the mountains and Inland Empire. This will be followed
by a slow warming trend through the middle of next week with high
temperatures for the deserts warming to around average over
weekend, but remaining a few to around 5 degrees below average
for the coast and valleys for early next week. After today, the
marine layer will become a little shallower with night and morning
coastal low clouds spreading into portions of the inland valleys
late each night.

.SHORT TERM (Today through Thursday)...
A low pressure system over central California late Monday
afternoon will move into central Nevada by this morning, then
weaken and move east today with low pressure across California
weakening through Friday.
Early this morning, the marine layer has deepened to around 4500
feet with satellite imagery showing coastal low clouds extending
well inland and onto the coastal slopes of the mountains. There
could be some patchy drizzle for some of the coast and valleys
through around day break. The marine layer will then become
gradually shallower into next week, but with coastal low clouds
still spread into portions of the inland valleys late each night.
High temperatures for the deserts will be a few degrees cooler
today with not much change for the coast and valleys. These high
temperatures are as much as 15 degrees below average for the
mountains and Inland Empire. High temperatures for today will
range from around 70 near the coast to the mid 70s to lower 80s
for the Inland Empire with the mid to upper 90s for the lower
deserts.
This will be followed by a slow warming trend that will continue
into the middle of next week. High temperatures for the deserts
will warm to around average during the weekend, but remain below
average for the coast and valleys through Tuesday of next week.

.LONG TERM (Friday through Monday)...
There will be a gradual warming trend that will continue into next
week. High temperatures on Friday will be a few degrees below
average for coastal areas and the lower deserts and around 4 to 8
degrees below average elsewhere. High temperatures on Friday will
range from the lower 70s near the coast to the 80s for the Inland
Empire with 100 to 104 for the lower deserts.
For Monday of next week, high temperatures for the coast and
valleys will be a few to around 5 degrees below average with the
deserts a few to around 5 degrees above average. High temperatures
for next Monday will range from the lower 70s near the coast to
the mid 80s to mid 90s for the Inland Empire with 106 to 110 for
the lower deserts.

.AVIATION...
300945Z....Coast/Valleys/Foothills...Low clouds with bases
2500-3500 ft MSL and tops to 4500 ft MSL will continue to fill in
across the coastal basin through 09Z. There is a 10-15% chance of
patchy drizzle through 18Z, with the greatest chances near the
coast. Clouds scatter out 16-19Z Tuesday. Low clouds will redevelop
over the coastal areas 23-05Z with bases/tops around 1800-2500 ft
MSL, spreading into the inland valleys again Tuesday night.
.Mountains/Deserts...Southwest to west winds with surface gusts
20-35 kts with local gusts to 45 kts through the passes slowly
weakening through 17Z. Winds strengthen again around 22-00Z this
afternoon with similar gusts, weakening early Wednesday morning. MOD-
STG up/downdrafts and pockets of LLWS over and east of the mountains.
