...New SHORT TERM, LONG TERM...

.SHORT TERM...
(Tonight)
Issued at 200 PM CST Thu Nov 21 2024

High pressure will reign supreme across eastern Oklahoma
and western Arkansas tonight. The resultant clear skies and
near calm winds will lead to a chilly night across the area.
Low temperatures are forecast to be in the mid 20s to mid 30s
across the region. With the door now closed on the growing season,
a freeze warning will not be issued.

.LONG TERM...
(Friday through Thursday)
Issued at 200 PM CST Thu Nov 21 2024

After another seasonably cool day on Friday, temperatures warm above
normal over the weekend as the surface high shifts to the south and east
of the area. Southerly low level winds will help push the temperatures
into the 60s across much of the area on Saturday and the 70s on Sunday
afternoon.

Temperatures drop to closer to normal early next week in the wake of a cold
front that is set to move through the region dry Sunday night into Monday.
The next chances of rain and possibly a few thunderstorms will come Wednesday
into Thanksgiving as the next cold front and associated mid-level shortwave
move through the region.
