...New SHORT TERM, LONG TERM, AVIATION...
.SHORT TERM...
(This evening through Sunday)
Issued at 1226 PM CDT SAT JUL 19 2025
The short-term will remain influenced by the remnants of Invest 93L,
as it slowly gets pushed to the north. Because of this, rain
chances will remain in the forecast for Sunday, with the best
rainfall chances occurring in these northern areas. Much like the
last few days, this activity will likely diminish after sunset,
leaving only warm and muggy conditions overnight. Overnight lows
will continue to range in the low to mid-70s, with highs on Sunday
generally ranging in the low to mid-90s.

.LONG TERM...
(Sunday night through next Friday)
Issued at 1226 PM CDT SAT JUL 19 2025
There is somewhat better agreement this morning regarding the nitty-
gritty of the long-term. Nothing really changes for us from a
forecast standpoint, it`s just how we get there. The ridge still
looks to build back in sometime on Sunday/Monday, before meandering
to the north/northwest. Because of this, the ridge doesn`t fully
develop right on top of us, which should allow for diurnal
thunderstorm activity to remain in the forecast. There are also some
small indications that we could see some weak tropical influence in
the long-term as well, but that`s limited to Gulf disturbances
moving inland and keeping things mixed.
Other than that, afternoon highs are still expected to climb back
into the mid-90s each day. Thankfully, these rain chances and cloud
cover may limited the scope of heat products we need, but it still
looks like we`ll need them for a few days at the least. Even if no
heat products are needed, hot and muggy temperatures are expected
for most of, if not all of the long-term.

.AVIATION...
(18Z TAFS)
Issued at 1226 PM CDT SAT JUL 19 2025
Showers will linger throughout the afternoon, before diminishing
past 19/00z. There is some indication that reduced CIGS are
possible overnight, but confidence was not high enough to
introduce restrictions at this time. As such, VFR conditions are
anticipated for the entire TAF period.
NOTE: AMD LTD TO CLD VIS AND WIND has been added at MGM until
further notice due to comms issues.

.FIRE WEATHER...
Upper-level ridging will begin to build back in by next week, which
could slowly begin to push MinRH values down. Afternoon rain chances
may also end up diminishing during this timeframe as well. However,
there is some indication that rain chances could pick back up into
next weekend. Given the lack of true drying conditions, fire weather
concerns remain little to none at this time.
