Issued 9:30 PM PST 22 December 2025 Tonight and Tuesday At 9:30 p.m. PST tonight quasi-stationary ridge located over
northern BC interior.
At 9:30 p.m. PST tonight low located over southern Bowie.
By 4:00 p.m. PST Tuesday low located over southern Haida Gwaii.
Marine Weather Statement
Issued 3:58 PM PST 22 December 2025 An Arctic ridge over the BC Interior will continue to give gale to
storm force outflow winds through the north and Central Coast inlets
through Wednesday morning.
A low pressure centre over Queen Charlotte Sound will dissipate as it
moves into Southern Hecate Strait this evening. Gale force southeast
winds over most southern waters will ease this evening. Gale force
westerlies are expected in vicinity of the low as it passes.
A weak low pressure centre over Bowie will move southward to lie
Over Northern Explorer Tuesday morning and then loop northeastwards
to lie over Southern Haida Gwaii Tuesday evening. Gale force
northeast winds over Bowie will spread southward tonight and weaken
early Tuesday. As the low heads towards Haida Gwaii, gale force
southeast winds will develop ahead of the low.
