Marine Weather Statement
Issued 3:59 PM NST 8 January 2026 A low pressure system approaching from the Great Lakes will move to
lie over Quebec by Friday afternoon. Strong to gale force southerly
winds are expected over northern waters as the system nears.
Marine interests are advised that a gale warning is in effect for
North Labrador Coast.
Marine interests are also advised that freezing spray warnings are in
effect for South Labrador Coast, North Labrador Coast, and Northwest
Labrador Sea.
