By 10:00 a.m. NST today departing trough located east of the
Marine District.
At 3:30 p.m. NST today trough located on a line northeast-southwest
over Quebec.
By 3:30 p.m. NDT Sunday trough located on a line northeast-southwest
over the Gulf of St. Lawrence.
At 3:00 a.m. NST today ridge located from the Grand Banks to
Labrador Coast.
By 3:00 a.m. NDT Sunday departing ridge located southeast of the
Marine District.
Marine Weather Statement
Issued 2:50 AM NST 7 March 2026 A trough of low pressure east of the marine district will depart to
the east this morning while a ridge of high pressure moves over the
marine district. Strong to gale force northwesterlies over
northeastern waters between these two features will diminish this
morning as the trough departs.
A second trough of low pressure will approach the marine district
from the west today. Gale to storm force southwesterlies will develop
ahead of the trough.
Marine interests are advised that a storm warning is in effect for
Funk Island Bank. Gale warnings are in effect for all remaining
waters.
Marine interests are also advised that freezing spray warnings are in
effect for East Coast - north of Cape St. Francis, Northeast Coast,
Belle Isle Bank, and Funk Island Bank.
