At 3:30 p.m. ADT Saturday departing trough located east of the Marine District.
At 3:30 p.m. ADT Saturday ridge located from Quebec to New England. By 8:00 p.m. ADT Saturday ridge located over the Gulf of St. Lawrence.
Marine Weather StatementIssued 9:33 AM ADT 3 April 2026 A trough of low pressure will approach this morning and will move slowly eastward across the marine district later today through Saturday. Late Saturday the trough will move to the east of the district.
As the trough crosses the district, winds will become strong to gale force southwesterlies south of it and strong to gale force northerlies or northeasterlies north of it. Winds will diminish late Saturday over northern and eastern waters as the trough departs.
Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for East Scotian Slope, Banquereau and Laurentian Fan.
