At 3:00 a.m. ADT today trough located on a line east-west over New England. By 8:00 p.m. ADT tonight trough located from Lurcher to Laurentian Fan.
Marine Weather StatementIssued 2:54 AM ADT 31 March 2026 A departing low northeast of Anticosti will continue to track away from the marine district today. Strong to gale force southwesterlies south of this system will diminish to moderate to strong westerlies in its wake.
A trough of low pressure will approach from New England this morning then move across the district to lie from Lurcher to Laurentian Fan tonight. This trough will continue to track eastward across the marine district on Wednesday. Strong to gale force southerlies are expected south of the trough with moderate to strong easterlies north of it with light to moderate variable winds in its vicinity.
Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for Georges Bank, West Scotian Slope, East Scotian Slope, Banquereau-southern half and Laurentian Fan.
