Squalls with wind gusts up to 35 knots, frequent lightning and poor to very poor visibility in showers heavy at times are expected or occurring in the area.
An area of thunderstorms located south of Point Petre is moving northeast at 20 knots.
Poor to very poor visibility may contribute to voyage delays and make marine navigation hazardous. Vessels without lightning protection should make their way to shore immediately. Mariners are advised to prepare for squalls. If underway, seek safe harbour immediately.
