northeast-southwest over Haida Gwaii.
Marine Weather Statement
Issued 10:29 AM PDT 7 June 2025 A ridge of high pressure extending from Haida Gwaii to Northern
Explorer will persist this weekend. Northwesterly gales will continue
over west coast Vancouver Island and Southeastern Explorer for much
of the weekend.
As the ridge axis veers on Sunday, northwesterly gales will develop
through Johnstone Strait Sunday afternoon. Northwest winds over
Strait of Georgia will also increase to strong to locally near gale
force Sunday evening.
