Issued 9:30 PM PDT 22 October 2026 Tonight and Friday At 9:30 p.m. PDT tonight building ridge located over western Bowie.
By 10:00 a.m. PDT Friday ridge located over Explorer extending
northward.

At 4:00 a.m. PDT Friday frontal system located west of the offshore
waters.
By 9:30 p.m. PDT Friday frontal system located from McInnes Island
to Explorer.

At 4:00 p.m. PDT Friday low 1008 mb located over western Bowie.
By 4:00 a.m. PDT Saturday low 1000 mb located over southern Bowie.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 9:23 PM PDT 22 October 2026 A ridge west of offshore waters is strengthening on a north-south
line from Explorer to the Haida Gwaii. As the ridge strengthens,
strong to gale force northwest winds will develop over Southern
Strait of Georgia, Johnstone Strait, and off Southwestern Vancouver
island tonight and overnight.

On Friday, an approaching low pressure system will move to lie over
Southern Bowie late in the day. Gale to storm force easterlies will
develop ahead of the low. South of the low gale force southwesterlies
are expected. The low centre will stall over Southern Bowie while a
frontal band moves to lie from Southern Haida Gwaii to McInnes Island
to Cape Scott and southwestward to Explorer region.
