By 4:00 a.m. PDT Tuesday departing trough located over the South
Coast.
At 4:00 p.m. PDT today building ridge located west of the offshore
waters.
Marine Weather Statement
Issued 3:49 PM PDT 6 April 2026 A strong pressure gradient will develop today between a ridge of high
pressure over the Pacific Ocean and a low pressure centre moving from
the Alaskan Panhandle to the interior of British Columbia.
This combination will give northwesterly and westerly gales to
northern waters this evening. Northwesterly and westerly gales have
spread to southern waters, including the inner South Coast, and will
continue through the night. Gales will diminish early Tuesday
morning.
