north-south over Queen Charlotte Sound.
By 4:00 a.m. PDT Friday departing frontal system located from
Prince Rupert to Cape Scott.
At 9:30 p.m. PDT tonight ridge located on a line northeast-southwest
over southern Vancouver Island.
By 4:00 p.m. PDT Friday weakening ridge located over southern
Vancouver Island.
At 4:00 a.m. PDT Friday low located southwest of Explorer.
By 9:30 p.m. PDT Friday low 1010 mb located over Queen Charlotte
Sound.
Marine Weather Statement
Issued 9:11 PM PDT 30 July 2026 A frontal system over Hecate Strait will track onto the north and
Central Coast overnight. Ahead of the front, southeasterly gales
Over the northern and central coastal waters will gradually ease
overnight.
On Friday, a low pressure tracking across Explorer will give
Marginal gale force southeasterlies to West Coast Vancouver Island
North in the evening and then shift to strong westerly in its wake.
