Marine Weather StatementIssued 2:41 AM ADT 25 May 2026 A low pressure system will cross the central marine district on today into Tuesday before becoming nearly stationary over Banquereau late Tuesday. Strong to gale force south to southeast winds will develop ahead of the low. Winds will shift to moderate to strong westerlies in its wake.
Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for eastern shore, Sable, East Scotian Slope - eastern half, Fourchu, Banquereau - southwestern half, and Laurentian Fan - western half.
