Marine Weather StatementIssued 2:44 AM ADT 6 April 2026 A trough of low pressure over Nova Scotia will continue tracking eastward today to lie southeast of the district by this evening. Strong to gale force southerlies ahead of the trough will veer to strong to possibly gale force west or northwest winds in its wake today.
Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for East Scotian Slope and Laurentian Fan.
Freezing spray warnings are in effect for Gulf-Magdalen, Chaleur-Miscou and Anticosti.
Outlook for the start-up of the eastern shore lobster fishery.
