Issued 3:30 PM AST 2 December 2025 Tonight and Wednesday At 3:30 p.m. AST today departing ridge located over the eastern
Marine District.
At 8:00 p.m. AST tonight low 994 mb located south of Cape Cod.
By 10:00 a.m. AST Wednesday low 984 mb located south of Nova Scotia.
Marine Weather Statement
Issued 3:19 PM AST 2 December 2025 An area of low pressure over the Southeastern United States will
deepen as it approaches the marine district. The low will pass south
of Nova Scotia on Wednesday and will move to lie east of Banquereau
Wednesday evening. Winds will increase to gale to storm force
northeasterlies north of the low and to gale to storm force
southwesterlies south of it. Gale to storm force northwesterlies are
expected in the wake of the low.
Additionally, higher than normal waters and rough surf is expected
near high tide Wednesday morning along the Atlantic Coast from Cape
Sable Island to Halifax.
Marine interests are advised that storm warnings are in effect for
Georges Bank, LaHave Bank, West Scotian Slope, eastern shore -
eastern half, Sable, East Scotian Slope, Fourchu, Banquereau,
Laurentian Fan and Cabot Strait - southern half. Gale warnings are in
effect for all remaining waters except Northumberland Strait -
western half, Gulf-Magdalen - northwestern half, Chaleur-Miscou and
Anticosti.
