Issued 10:00 AM ADT 2 May 2026 Today Tonight and Sunday At 10:00 a.m. ADT today trough located from the Gulf of St. Lawrence
to Laurentian Fan.
By 8:00 p.m. ADT tonight weakening trough located over the
southeastern Marine District.

At 3:00 a.m. ADT Sunday intensifying low 998 mb located southwest
of Georges Bank.
By 8:00 p.m. ADT Sunday low 980 mb located near Halifax.

At 10:00 a.m. ADT today ridge located over the southwestern Marine
District.
By 10:00 a.m. ADT Sunday ridge located over the eastern Marine
District.


Marine Weather Statement

Issued 9:48 AM ADT 2 May 2026 An intense low pressure system will approach the marine district from
the southwest tonight. The low will track northeastward along the
coast of Nova Scotia late Sunday. Over southern waters, winds will
increase to strong to gale force easterlies ahead of the low then
shift to gale force westerlies in its wake. The westerlies will
approach storm force and storm warnings may be issued later today.
Over the Gulf of St. Lawrence waters, winds will increase to strong
to gale force northeasterlies late Sunday.

Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for all
waters except Fundy, Grand Manan, Chaleur-Miscou and Anticosti.
