Georges Bank.
By 3:00 a.m. ADT Monday low 978 mb located near Cape Breton Island.
At 3:30 p.m. ADT Monday departing low 984 mb located northeast of
the Marine District.
Marine Weather Statement
Issued 9:38 AM ADT 3 May 2026 An intensifying low pressure system will track northeastward across
the marine district today and early Monday. The low will move to lie
northeast of the marine district Monday afternoon.
Over southern waters, winds will increase to strong to gale force
easterlies ahead of the low then shift to gale to storm force
westerlies in its wake. Over the Gulf of St. Lawrence waters, winds
will increase to strong to gale force northeasterlies this evening,
then shift to strong to gale force westerlies on Monday in the wake
of the low.
Marine interests are advised that storm warnings are in effect for
Browns Bank - eastern half, LaHave Bank, West Scotian Slope, Sable
and East Scotian Slope - western half. Gale warnings are in effect
for all remaining waters except Fundy and Grand Manan.
