to Laurentian Fan.
By 3:30 p.m. AST today ridge located from the Gulf of St. Lawrence
to the Grand Banks.
At 3:30 p.m. AST today intensifying low 1002 mb located southwest
of Georges Bank.
By 3:00 a.m. AST Monday low 988 mb located over Sable Island.
At 3:30 p.m. AST Monday low 961 mb located south of Newfoundland.
Marine Weather Statement
Issued 9:41 AM AST 14 December 2025 An intensifying low pressure system will approach the marine district
today and move to lie over West Scotian Slope this evening and south
of Newfoundland Monday afternoon. Gale to possibly storm force
southwest winds over the southern slope waters late today will shift
to gale to storm force northwesterlies behind the low late tonight
into Monday.
Marine interests are advised that storm warnings are in effect for
Banquereau and Cabot Strait. Gale warnings are in effect for all
remaining waters except Fundy and Grand Manan.
Freezing spray warnings are in effect for Fundy, Grand Manan,
Northumberland Strait, Gulf - Magdalen, Chaleur - Miscou, and
Anticosti.
