Alert Details:
* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...Portions of northeast California, including the following
county, Sierra and western Nevada, including the following county,
Washoe.

* WHEN...Until 830 PM PDT.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
Water over roadways.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 738 PM PDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin
shortly in the advisory area. Between 0.9 and 1.5 inches of
rain have fallen.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Interstate 80 between mile marker 14 and 2, Reno, Verdi,
Mogul, Somersett, Verdi-Mogul, Northwest Reno and Caughlin
Ranch.

Information:
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Alert Details:
At 745 PM PDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over
Mogul, or near Verdi, moving south at 5 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and pea to half inch size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
possible.

Locations impacted include...
Reno, Caughlin Ranch, Verdi, Northwest Reno, Reno-Tahoe International
Airport, Mogul, Somersett, Floriston, and Verdi-Mogul.

Information:
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Heavy rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.
