Areas Affected: North Central and Southeast Siskiyou County - Northeast Siskiyou and Northwest Modoc Counties - Modoc County - Klamath Basin
 
Alert Details:
* WHAT...Hot temperatures of 95-100 degrees with warm overnight
temperatures of 55-60 degrees.

* WHERE...The Klamath Basin from Modoc Point southward into Modoc
and eastern Siskiyou Counties. This includes the communities of
Klamath Falls, Alturas, Tennant, Bray, Tulelake, Canby and
Tionesta.

* WHEN...From 11 AM Monday to 2 AM PDT Tuesday.

* IMPACTS...Unusually hot temperatures will increase risk for heat
illnesses. Warm overnight temperatures will provide little relief
from daytime temperatures.

Information:
Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of
the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors.

Take extra precautions when outside. Wear lightweight and loose
fitting clothing. Try to limit strenuous activities to early morning
or evening. Take action when you see symptoms of heat exhaustion and
heat stroke.
