Areas Affected: Yosemite NP outside of the valley - Upper San Joaquin River - Kaiser to Rodgers Ridge - Kings Canyon NP - Grant Grove Area - Sequoia NP - South End of the Upper Sierra
 
Alert Details:
* WHAT...Heavy snow expected with snow levels 6,000 to 7,000 feet.
Total snow accumulations of 1 to 2 feet, except around 3 feet over
the highest peaks.

* WHERE...A portion of central California.

* WHEN...Until 5 PM PDT Wednesday.

* IMPACTS...Visibilities may drop below 1/4 mile due to falling and
blowing snow. Travel could be very difficult to impossible. The
hazardous conditions could impact the Monday evening and Tuesday
morning commutes.

Information:
If you must travel, keep an extra flashlight, food, and water in
your vehicle in case of an emergency. The latest road conditions for
the state you are calling from can be obtained by calling 5 1 1.

Persons should delay all travel if possible. If travel is absolutely
necessary, drive with caution and be prepared for sudden changes in
conditions. Leave plenty of room between you and the motorist ahead
of you, and allow extra time to reach your destination. Avoid sudden
braking or acceleration, and be especially cautious on hills or when
making turns. Make sure your car is winterized and in good working
order.

Alert Details:
* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be
possible.

* WHERE...A portion of central California, including the following
areas, Fresno-Tulare Lower Sierra, Kern River Valley,
Mariposa-Madera Lower Sierra, Piute Walker Basin, San Joaquin
River Canyon, South End of the Lower Sierra, Yosemite Valley and
recent burn scars including the Garnet, Borel, Basin, French and
Coffee Pot burn scars.


* WHEN...From 5 PM PDT this afternoon through Tuesday afternoon.

* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers,
creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.
Excessive rainfall over burn scars may also result in flooding and
debris flows.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- Rainfall rates of 0.20 to 0.40 inches per hour are expected
during this time, along with localized heavier rain rates due
to thunderstorms, that may reach the burn scar debris flow
thresholds.
