.DISCUSSION...
Issued at 231 AM CDT Tue Jun 30 2026

Rain-free and warm conditions will continue through the weekend as
we remain under the southwestern edge of a mid-level ridge. High
temperatures will be in the 90s, with heat index values between 100-
108, leading to a moderate HeatRisk. The ridge will weaken later in
the weak, increasing moisture (PWAT values increasing to 1.75-2.00")
and allowing shortwaves to ride around the southern periphery. Even
with the increased moisture, reduced subsidence will keep shower and
thunderstorms chances low (5-15%), focused mainly along the
seabreeze over the Coastal Plains.

Confidence in the forecast begins to break down early next week as
model solutions vary widely.

.AVIATION...
(06Z TAFS)
Issued at 231 AM CDT Tue Jun 30 2026

Brief MVFR conditions will be expected overnight and into portions
of this morning across all sites. VFR conditions will return by
midmorning and winds will be breezy once again out of the
southeast. Gusts will be up to 25 knots and winds should subside
in the east by the evening hours.

&&

.MARINE...
Issued at 231 AM CDT Tue Jun 30 2026

A moderate to fresh breeze (BF 4-5) tonight will weaken to a gentle
to moderate (BF 3-4) Tuesday through this upcoming weekend.

&&

.FIRE WEATHER...
Issued at 231 AM CDT Tue Jun 30 2026

Relative humidity values will dip below 35% over the Brush Country
in the afternoons today through Wednesday, with breezy winds. ERC
values in the 25-49th percentile and fuels with normal to above
normal dryness will limit fire weather danger for the upcoming week.
No elevated fire weather conditions are expected.
